Olympic Glory showed an exceptional turn of foot to win by 3 & 1/4 lengths against some of Europe’s top milers in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes (Group 1) on Qipco British Champions Day for owner Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani, Champion trainer elect Richard Hannon and Champion jockey elect Richard Hughes. Richard Hannon Jnr confirmed after the race on Saturday that Olympic Glory may have a tilt at the Breeders Cup mile at Santa Anita in the coming weeks. Olympic Glory’s recent win brings his career earnings to £1,687,644. Olympic Glory was purchased by Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd for £65,000 at Doncaster Premier Yearling Sales in 2011.
