Peter and Richard were presented with the award for Contribution To The Industry. Of the 108 yearlings bought by the team in 2010, 83 were Irish bred and Hannon commented, “the Irish horses are so well brought up, they’re nice relaxed horses you can get on with.” On receiving the award from Henry Beeby of Goffs and DBS, Hannon said, “I’ve only been at it a few years and it’s nice to be appreciated!” Peter Doyle was in equally good form on the night, making for a fine comic duo and commented, “I am very honoured to receive this prestigious award and would like to acknowledge the work of my son Ross.” (ITBA Website 31st January 2011)
