Barney Roy was back to his best yesterday when he won the Listed Prix de Montretout at Chantilly in France for his owners Godolphin, trainer Charlie Appleby and James Doyle. Barney Roy holds entries in the Queen Anne Stakes and The Prince of Wales Stakes at Royal Ascot. The son of Excelebration was purchased as yearling for £70,000 at the Goffs Uk Premier Yearling Sale from Castletown Quarry Stud.
