Raymond Tusk won impressively the Group 2 Gran Premio del Jockey Club Italiano in Italy yesterday for his owners Middleham Park Racing Xxxi & K. Sohi, trainer Richard Hannon and jockey Jamie Spencer. The son of High Chaparral was having his seventh career start having run well in the St Leger. He was always to the fore and stayed on really well under pressure coming down to the final quarter mile. He was tough in victory holding off all challengers.The plan will be to give him a break now before heading for another campaign next year. Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd purchased Raymond Tusk at the Arqana August Yearling Sale in 2016 for €85,000.
