Ginger Nut won the 2 Year Old Nursery Handicap by a neck today at York for her owner Mrs J K Powell, trainer Richard Hannon and jockey Oisin Murphy. The daughter of Sir Prancealot was so tough and had plenty of challengers in the closing stages. She stuck to her guns and has really got the hang of things now. She deserves to take her chance at some black type now and maybe aimed at The Group 3 at Ayr or the Dick Poole at Salisbury.Ginger Nut was purchased by Peter and Ross Doyle Bloodstock for £23,000 at Goffs UK Silver Yearling Sale in 2017 from Alice Fitzgerald.
