Astronereus won the John Smiths Silver Cup Listed race at York on Saturday by a length and a quarter for his owners John Connolly, Odile Griffith, trainer Amanda Perrett and jockey Pat Dobbs. Astronereus will now head for Goodwood and could return to York for the Ebor. Astronereus was purchased by Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd at Tattersalls October Yearling Sales in 2012.
