Ireland’s only Breeze Up Sale

A select sale of two-year-old flat breeze up horses

The Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up Sale is Ireland’s only sale of this type, and provides purchasers with an early opportunity to buy a sharp two-year-old. This sale has proven itself as a source for stakes class performers, and graduates include Irish 1,000 Guineas entrant Kairyu. Turnover in 2023 exceeded €8.5 million, which was an increase of 29% on 2022.

The 2023 median increased to €30,000, from €22,000 in 2022, an increase of 36%. Activity in the six-figure bracket increased to 18 in 2023, from 11 in 2022, while four lots made at least €200,000. The expanding international racing programme has resulted in the Tattersalls Ireland Breeze Up sale attracting purchasers from UAE, Scandinavia, Germany, Spain and Italy.
