YAFTA was the first winner of the day at Newmarket for his owner Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum, trainer Richard Hannon and jockey Dane O’Neill. He ran very well on his reappearance and Royal Ascot may now be on the cards with Jersey Stakes in mind. Yafta was purchased by Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd for £280,000 at Goffs UK Premier Yearling Sale in 2016 from Highclere Stud.

THE IRISH ROVER was an impressive winner at Newbury on Saturday of Olympic Glory Conditions Stakes for his owners, Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith, Mrs John Magnier, trainer AP O’Brien and jockey Ryan Moore. The son of No Nay Never will head to Royal Ascot. The Irish Rover was purchased by Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd at Tattersalls October Yearlings Book 1 in 2017 for 150,000Gns from Glenvale Stud.

AL BARG was the third winner of the day and came at Doncaster for his owners Al Shaqab Racing, trainer Richard Hannon and jockey Pat Dobbs. He has plenty of ability and needs to be produced late onand he should win a few more handicaps this year. Al Barg was purchased at Goffs Orby Yearling Sales in 2016 for €135,000 from the Premier Consignment.

TIGRE DU TERRE won impressively at Ripon on Sunday for his owners  Middleham Park Racing CI, trainer Richard Hannon and jockey Silvestre De Sousa and never looked like getting caught. He will more than likely end up at Royal Ascot and the Brittania maybe the race for him. Tigre Du Terre was purchased by Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd at Osarus September Yearling Sales in 2016 for €55,000 from Haras de l’Hotellerie.
