Geordie Iris was a very impressive winner of the Norwegian Oaks at Ovrevoll last evening winning by three and a half lengths under a confident ride from Jan-Erik Neuroth. Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd purchased Geordie Iris for €30,000 at the Arqana Breeze Up Sale at Saint Cloud in 2010 and she went on to win four races under the care of Richard Hannon in England. Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd then bought the filly privately after her last win in England at the end of February 2011 for William Drew to send to Champion Scandanavian trainer Wido Neuroth. Under his care she has won two races from three starts to date including last evenings great success in the Norwegian Oaks.
