Jaayiz showed massive improvement for the switch to turf to win the EBF Maiden Stakes at Brighton on Tuesday for his owner Mohamed Saeed Al Shahi, trainer Richard Hannon and the in form jockey Hollie Doyle.Having his third start after two previous runs on the all-weather he switched off behind the leaders in a race where they went quick up front. A perfectly timed challenge by Hollie Doyle saw him take the lead in the final strides to win going away by half a length. The son of Zoffany looks to be improving after each run and is an exciting horse for connections later in the season. Jaayiz was purchased by Peter and Ross Doyle Bloodstock for 68,000Gns at Tattersalls October Yearling Sales Book 2 in 2017.
