Lilbourne Eliza wins Listed Stakes in Gulfstream Park…

Lilbourne Eliza won Saturday’s $90,000 Wasted Tears stakes to claim the first stakes win of her career at Gulfstream Park in USA. The 4-year-old daughter of Elusive City and the Marju (IRE) mare Midnight Partner (IRE) won by sitting off the moderate pace before making a bid between horses at the top of the stretch and striding out to the finish, her margin of victory was a half-length. Lilbourne Eliza was purchased by Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd at Goffs Orby Sale in 2011 for €38,000.
