Magic Wand won Group 2 Lanwades Stud Stakes on Saturday at the Curragh for her owners Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith & Mrs John Magnier trainer A P O’Brien and jockey Seamie Heffernan. The daughter of Galileo and a three-parts sister to Irish Oaks heroine Chicquita has since repaid connections with over €4million in earnings. Magic Wand was purchased by Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock/MV Magnier /Mayfair Speculators at Arqana August Yearling Sales in 2016 for €1.4 million from Ecurie des Monceaux.
