The Gatekeeper won the Balmoral Handicap at Ascot on Champions Day for his owners Middleham Park Racing XIV, trainer Charlie Johnston and Joe Fanning. The Gatekeepter has had a great year, winner at both the Guineas Festival and on Champions Day, he also finished 2nd in the Golden Mile at the Qatar Goodwood Festival. . The son of Excelebration was purchased as a yearling for £60,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale from Baroda Stud in 2020.
