Tornado Flyer won the Grade 1 Champion Irish National Hunt Flat Race in Punchestown yesterday for his owners TFP Patnership, trainer Willie Mullins and jockey Richie Deegan. The five-year old son of Flemensfirth was only making just his third start, having won his debut at Fairyhouse in January and came third in the Grade 1 National Hunt Race in Cheltenham. Tornado Flyer was purchased by Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock Ltd at Goffs Landrover Sales in 2016 for €63,000 from Pine Tree Stud.
