A select sale of three and four-year-old National Hunt Store Horses. The May Store Sale, only three-years-old, has produced results both in the ring and on the track.

The May Store Sale celebrated Cheltenham success this year with Telmesomethingirl putting in a stellar performance to land the Grade 2 Mares Novice Hurdle under Rachael Blackmore for Henry De Bromhead. Hometown Boy claimed Grade 3 victory at the Aintree Festival as well as Nada To Prada and Star Gate landing black type honours this season.

The 2021 sale saw a record top price of €115,000 and 12 lots, by nine different stallions, fetch €40,000 or more. Overall, 164 lots sold from 211 lots offered achieving a record clearance rate of 78 per cent. The median of €15,000 was an improvement of 67 per cent on 2020, the average increased by 43 per cent to €17,385, while this year’s turnover improved by 137% to €2,851,200. The session’s figures returned were on a par with the results of 2019 when the sale was last held on its scheduled May date.
